In addition to the festivities organized for the 475^th anniversary of Jacques Cartier's arrival in Gaspé, several well-known events will blend their activities with ours to celebrate this important year. During this event, fishing enthusiasts have a tremendous time and can enjoy ice fishing without a permit. A family activity spread over 36 hours with various prizes to win. Lodging and restaurant services on-site. Mandatory registration.

Evolutionary contemporary work circuit that integrates horticultural and durable elements on the enchanting site of the Parc de la Pointe-Taylor. Through a contest or upon invitation, artists create the new gardens in front of visitors. Sixth edition of this sporting and cultural gathering that focuses on people that are 50 years old and older. Competitions in over 20 disciplines (biking, swimming, petanque, golfing, bowling…). Opening ceremony, cultural shows, banquet, and closing ceremony. Registration from January to May. A unique opportunity to share the energy of those who are 50 and over.

A North American rally car competition where more than 40 modified cars test their speed and skills on gravel roads and on specially built sites. Unique event in Eastern Québec. During the prize-giving ceremony for the 2007 Canadian rally championship, the Rallye Auto nord-américain de la Baie-des-Chaleurs received the special Pole-Position Magazine prize rewarding them for their excellence in motor sport event organization in Canada.

International artistic event presenting new artists and professionals of francophone song. In a friendly atmosphere, about 15 shows and training workshops are offered, both in Grande-Vallée and Petite-Vallée. It is a golden opportunity to immerse oneself in music in a maritime environment.

Outdoor market offering regional agri‑food products as well as works by Gaspesian artists and artisans. Animation and restaurant services on-site. Every Saturday during the summer, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Parc de la Pointe-Taylor.

Fort Causap is an activity inspired by the popular television game Fort Boyard. Three hundred participants must show endurance, cleverness and skill to dazzle the thousands of visitors who are having a tremendous time. In all, 30 teams go head to head in over 20 challenges, each one crazier than the next.

Cultural event bringing together country-western and folk musicians. Performances by more than 100 artists, amateur gala, folk gala, dancing in the saloon, stage and outdoor dance floor with free shows. Outdoor shows. Free wilderness camping upon pass purchase. Pass: $45 or 50$.

A 32^nd edition of this international meeting of hang-gliding and paragliding pilots. Many activities including sea kayaking, kitesurfing, motorized ultra-lites, mountain biking, hiking, shows and animation on the beach. Gliding competition, air shows and bonfire on the beach.

In the church's basement, at the old presbytery art gallery, and in other outdoor exhibit locations in the centre of the village, the artists are celebrating. Painting exhibit, a series of outdoor artistic demonstrations and animation. Prizes and awards given to the participating artists and the general public. Come and wake up your senses!

The Cap-d'Espoir beach becomes very lively for four days during the very popular Beach Party. On the program: shows on the beach, nautical activities, inflatable games, volley-ball tournament and animation for the whole family, then at night an outburst of activities such as fireworks, bonfires, shows...

August 5^th to 9^th, 2009
Located on the shore, the site of the Festival International Maxiumum Blues is absolutely exceptional because of its magnificent view of the mountain and the sea. During five days, sea breeze carries away blues music. This international event presents over 50 blues shows (and related music) in a highly festive atmosphere. Shows in bars and family activities.  An "improvised" campground with sanitary and shuttle services is offered during the festival.

August 6^th to 9^th, 2009
Open creations for this eight edition of the Saint-Ulric painting symposium. Twenty-two artists from different regions of Québec and New Brunswick participate. Exhibit rooms and demonstrations. Animation and workshops for youth. All activities are free. Art amateurs and collectors are invited.

August 14^th to 16^th, 2009
Donwtown Gaspé, the Festival Musique du Bout du Monde celebrates its 6^th edition as well as the international and historical nature of the town of Gaspé with the 475^th anniversary of Jacques Cartier's arrival on Canadian soil.

Gaspé welcomes close to 200 artists and more than 20,000 visitors for this event which has now become a must for the summer cultural program. Come to Bout du Monde and enjoy a taseful and extraordinary program that offers a wide array of free activities for the whole family and lively shows in the evening! A wonderful colourful edition with remarkable cultural diversity, rhythms and discoveries.

Several locations in Percé: Centre d'interprétation de la faune, Charles Robin site, La Saline building, Percé beach. Les Percéides is an annual international festival dedicated to author's film and multimedia art related to the landscape, the architecture and the Percé natural site.

L'événement automnal par excellence en Gaspésie (the fall event par excellence in the Gaspésie) - Journal Le Soleil, July 2006. Professional storytelling, music, and traditional dance shows, workshops, and exhibits, a public market with 40 Gaspesian bio-food producers and artisans, a public program for youths, all in a fall environment filled with colour!

From November 29^th, 2009 to January 1^st, 2010
Noël en Gaspésie, it is an invitation to come and celebrate the holiday season in a very special way in the magnificent scenery of the Chaleur Bay. On the program: activities at the Station touristique Pin Rouge (downwhill skiing and sliding sports), skating, excursion in the Parc national de la Gaspésie, photography train expedition to Percé, snow sculpture event, Christmas of yesteryear, strolling choir, shows, exhibit at the Coop Vivred'Art, outdoor Christmas market and Loto-Québec New Year's Eve celebration.

End of January to mid-February 2010
The event, very demanding both physically and humanly, involves skiing on a distance of more than 300 kilometres in six days on waymarked trails in the mountain, along the sea or in the open country. Even more, a place to celebrate and meet pleasant people; an absolute treasure of Gaspésie's winter tourism.
