All objects are inspired by the sea. Artisans share the passion for their trade with enthusiasm. The boutique-worshop is a must for a 100% Gaspesian souvenir. Heritage works made in Matanie according to the rules of traditional arts such as: weaving, sewing embroidery, knits, milled wood, and painting, and including blankets, catalognes, tablecloths, laizes (strips of carpet), quilts, socks, slippers as well as threads and supplies for weaving. Schedule: June 24^th to September 7^th, Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Off-season, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Artisan cooperative featuring the art and knowhow of the Micmacs. Artisan creations, ash baskets made by skilled makers leather items, beaded creations and souvenirs. Duty-free shop. A very nice environment awaits you at the Galerie d'art Yves Gonthier. Paintings and sculptures from the artist Yves Gonthier are internationally renowned. Creator of the famous Cadre naturel (natural frame) located on the beach of Maria and winner in 2003 of the Québec award for artistic creation. Schedule: year-round, June 1^st to October 31^st, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations are recommended during the off-season. Free admission.
