From New Carlisle to Amqui: Where to Stay and Eat on a Snowmobile Trip

La Baie-des-Chaleurs (Bonaventure)
Located along the water in New Carlisle, Hôtel la Maison Blanche offers various types of rooms as well as a studio with a kitchenette. Pub Chez Kit, the hotel’s restaurant, offers an express menu with a wide selection of Québec and imported beers as well as a relaxed atmosphere. Two 50-inch HD screens make this is a great place to watch sports events.

Overlooking a salmon river in New Richmond, Hôtel Le Francis offers a variety of comfortable rooms. You can enjoy a meal at the hotel’s Bayou resto pub, which has a tasty, evolving menu featuring local flavours (specialties: pasta, grilled meat dishes and burgers). Be sure to treat yourself to a bottle of wine from the well-stocked wine cellar filled with over a thousand bottles! A warm atmosphere, central fireplace and urban decor await you on the restaurant side, while the pub offers giant screens and a more relaxed atmosphere that becomes especially festive on game nights.

La Baie-des-Chaleurs (Avignon)
Located in the centre of Maria, Auberge du Marchand offers a variety of rooms, studios and tourist apartments by the sea. The restaurant offers tasty bistro cuisine (pasta, salads, burgers, ribs, etc.), specializing in local fish, seafood and lamb. There’s also a bar area and a gourmet shop stocked with Gaspésie Gourmande products. Take advantage of their snowmobile package, which includes a night in the inn, a table d’hôte dinner and breakfast.

Well situated in Carleton-sur-Mer, Hostellerie Baie Bleue offers various types of rooms as well as suites, lofts and cottages, many with sea views. Also on site is Pub St-Joseph, which has a particularly festive atmosphere on game nights! The pub offers pizzas, burgers and tartare dishes in addition to its specialties, which are ribs, seafood pasta and smoked meat.

Hôtel Interprovincial in Pointe-à-la-Croix offers various types of rooms along with suites and a condo. The hotel’s Pastali restaurant has a wide selection of comfort dishes, including pasta, pizzas, salads, chicken and ribs. Also on site is Bar Le Billard, which provides a menu of dishes to share if you’re feeling slightly peckish as well as a selection of beers, wines and cocktails.

La Matapédia
Located in the centre of Amqui, Auberge l’Ambassadeur offers a variety of rooms and suites. The hotel’s restaurant and pub has a varied menu (salads, pasta, pizzas, burgers, fish and seafood dishes, etc.), including two exclusives: a 22-oz cowboy steak and a marinated pepper steak. You can also enjoy a vast selection of wines to complement your meal, including privately imported wines.

Still in the heart of Amqui, Sélectôtel Amqui Pastali offers a variety of rooms (some with views of the river, a kitchenette or whirlpool bath) as well as condos. The hotel features a glassed-in indoor pool and hot tub overlooking a lake. The Pastali restaurant offers a wide choice of dishes (including pasta, pizzas, salads, chicken and ribs) as well as specialized and varied buffets. The friendly Bar Le Billard is also located on the premises.

Auberge La Coulée Douce welcomes you to a lovely gabled house perched on a hill in Causapscal. You can stay in one of the rooms in the main building or in a cottage. Specializing in Atlantic salmon dishes, the dining room offers tasty regional cuisine featuring local ingredients. The menu includes filet mignon, pasta, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
