Projet Éole in Cap-Chat
See the world’s tallest vertical-axis wind turbine on the Projet Éole site. You can even step inside the generator to admire its unique design. Read the interpretive panels to learn more about the history of Éole and wind power development; a guide is also available on site to answer your questions. Offering a 360-degree view, the panoramic terrace allows you to admire Le Nordais, Québec’s first wind farm, from above.
Exploramer in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
Immerse yourself in the marine environment of the St. Lawrence at the Exploramer science museum. Here, you’ll find an aquarium with a living collection of fish and other marine organisms, touch pools and a museum presenting sea-themed exhibitions. Exploramer also offers sea excursions, a fish-harvesting activity and the “Dare to Taste” activity, which gives you the opportunity to sample edible marine species showcased by the Smarter Seafood program, which promotes the sound management of local marine resources.

Parc national de la Gaspésie in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
A popular hiking destination, this park will impress you with the beauty of its mountains, which include more than 25 peaks over 1000 metres high! In addition to hiking, you can enjoy many other outdoor activities in the park including kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing and biking. You may even be lucky enough to spot moose, which are present in large numbers in the park, especially on Mont Ernest-Laforce.

Mine d’agates du Mont Lyall in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
Go prospecting at the Mont Lyall open-pit mine, which is located in a 350-million-year-old volcano, and take home your finds! Once cut in half, the stones will reveal cavities covered with crystals and minerals such as agates, amethysts, carnelians, jaspers and quartz in a variety of colours.

Station de montagne sur mer de Mont-Saint-Pierre in Mont-Saint-Pierre
Visit this mountain and seaside area and discover the recently redesigned Delta and Crête trails, which will take you to the top of Mont Saint-Pierre, 430 metres above sea level. From there, you can soak up a unique view of the St. Lawrence and a glacial valley! You can also board a four-wheel-drive bus with Carrefour Aventure and be transported to the summit with a guide. Thrill seekers can also try hang-gliding or paragliding with Vue du Ciel or Les Passagers du Vent.
