Description
The Rue de la Montagne brings you to the summit of Mont Saint-Joseph, at an altitude of 555 m. At the summit, from a spectacular footbridge overlooking Cap Ferré, you will see all the splendor of the region: the mountains of the Gaspésian hinterland, the coastal plain of the Chaleur Bay, the magnificent plan of water of the same name, Carleton-sur-Mer and its triangular barachois and the Acadian coast of New Brunswick.
At the top, a team of dynamic guide interpreters offers you different activities that will reveal a little more about the history and the regional geography. In addition, a series of interpretive panels along the footbridge relate the highlights of history and regional geography. From this location, you can also access the network of hiking trails in Carleton.
